Bio
Dan Herman, PhD, is a lecturer at the University of Toronto and an advisor to governments around the world on innovation policy. He is the former head of innovation policy for Canada’s Department of Innovation and former CEO of Intellectual Property Ontario.
Dan Herman is also a documentary producer. His work includes “Magnetic Cities,” an 18-episode series exploring how emerging ecosystems in Africa, Asia, and Latin America are reshaping the global innovation economy, “Made with Bravery,” a documentary about the Ukrainian startup ecosystem, and the award-winning film “A People’s War,” which covers the ongoing war in Ukraine.
